Creative design is the core offering of the Brand Experience Design Group. The Creative Director is responsible for initiating and managing the creation and implementation of branding assets that meet the clients marketing objectives while aligning with the standards of quality defined by the agency leadership.

With their strategy partner, the Creative Director shares the responsibility of leading the development of branding solutions, that align with best practices in the branding industry. They know how to develop great work efficiently while creating the conditions for other designers to be engaged, inspired, and committed to exploring well-thought out and elegant designs. They are ambassadors of the agency process and provide valuable branding guidance to clients and network collaborators.

Experience Requirements:

§  10+ years or equivalent experience in branding design (corporate and product branding)

§  5+ year of client-facing experience

Technical Skill Requirements:

§  Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc)

§  Proficient in Microsoft Office

§  Ability to learn and master any necessary tools for the design and implementation of branding assets



  • Leads all aspects of the brand development process from the creation of brand identity assets to the rollout of brand guidelines and tactical implementation
  • Sets appropriate creative direction to help achieve the vision for the brand

§  Prepares creative branding rationales to ensure understanding and acceptance of ideas

§  Presents brand identity ideas and persuades others to embrace creative thinking

§  Defends strength of ideas while remaining open to alternatives and further explorations that may be deemed more effective or appropriate

§  Manages client expectations around ideation and execution of design ideas

  • Collaborates with the Brand Strategy team in the creation of the design strategies (e.g. as Brand Personality, Brand Purpose, Brand Architecture, etc)
  • Participates in naming and nomenclature brainstorming
  • Reviews branding work and provides feedback that will help elevate quality of the work
  • Partners with other creative leaders within the network to ensure the successful fulfillment of clients’ branding needs
  • Helps recruit new talent for the group

§  Develop strong relationships with key client stakeholders

§  Delivers innovative design solutions within given budgets and timelines

§  Performs all functions and responsibilities of Designers when called upon to do so

§  Performs other related duties as required and assigned by supervisor

Resource Management and General Operations:

§  Manages project load across 3+ active work streams

§  Oversees the delivery of all assigned projects to ensure they are delivered on time, budget and expected quality

§  Maximizes staff utilization on billable work and new business opportunities

§  Ensure post-project reviews are in place and include lessons learnt exercises which identify both positive and negative outcomes to be actioned

§  Documents project experience for the creation of case studies for future new business opportunities

New Business:

§  Working closely with BX leadership to facilitate creation of new business decks

§  Collaborate with the account leads in identifying the branding needs for their clients

§  Work closely with project management to assess requirements and scope out work

§  Promotes and represents the branding group across IPG Health network agencies and clients


§  Mentors and inspires in a way that fosters a spirit of collaboration and retains talent

§  Provide visible, motivational and decisive management and leadership to allocated branding team

§  Conducts performance evaluations on direct reports, carry out goal setting, one-on-one check in and makes recommendations for their career progress

§  Drive a culture of high performance

§  Set the highest standards in terms of leadership behaviors; support a culture of diversity and inclusion; respect for others, responsibility, and accountability.

§  Create opportunities for learning and development and best practice sharing

§  Helps to instill integration of the IPG Health network capabilities with clients and agency staff
