2022 Summer Internship Program 

The IPG Health Internship Program is designed to offer college students the opportunity to learn about a career in healthcare advertising. Interns will work in real-world business situations, attend seminars on the different aspects of the industry and learn about the inner workings of an agency. 

Each week is strategically broken down to help our interns make the most out of their time here. Monday – Wednesday is spent working with the department you are placed in along with a personalized mentor to show you the way. Thursdays are reserved for lunch and learns where we bring in senior leadership from each department while chowing down on some delicious food on us. Friday is reserved for teams to work on the client project which is presented in pitch format to our c-level executives as well as the client.  
START DATE: Monday, June 13, 2022 
END DATE: Friday, August 12, 2022 
SCHEDULE: Full-time (Monday-Friday, 9AM-5PM) 
PAY: Hourly  

FORMAT: Virtual or Hybrid-Optional 



Who we are: We are the cornerstone of copy quality control.  

What we do: 

  • Enforce stylistic, grammatical, and factual accuracy for all agency products throughout brand campaigns and pitches 

  • Ensure all marketing and medical/legal revisions are implemented consistently and logically across all platforms 

  • Act as the first line of defense against creation of materials that could spell legal trouble for our clients 

Our end goal: Collaborate with our strategic and creative teams to craft multichannel promotions that are clean, consistent, and compliant.

Day-to-day responsibilities 

  • Learn to copyedit, proofread, and fact check utilizing electronic routing system 

  • Become familiar with best practices for all editorial functions to achieve maximum efficiency and quality control 

  • Internalize agency routing process and learn how to tailor editorial review to meet brand team and client expectations 

  • Attend status and startup meetings to contribute to timeline development and learn how to work with a cross-disciplinary group effectively 

  • Learn to prioritize effectively and implement process adaptations as needed 

  • Generate and update individual brand style sheets 

  • Develop a thorough understanding of medical terminology, AMA style, and FDA/OPDP regulations and how to apply this knowledge while reviewing content 


-Rising junior, senior, or recent graduate from an accredited college or university  
-Passion for advertising/marketing, English, Creative Writing and/or health sciences  

-Available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week for the duration of the 9-week program 
-Possess solid communication, computer, and presentation skills 

-You are a grammar fanatic and no error can get past you
