2022 Summer Internship Program

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT? 
 
The IPG Health Internship Program is designed to offer college students the opportunity to learn about a career in healthcare advertising. Interns will work in real-world 
business situations, attend seminars on the different aspects of the industry and learn about the inner workings of an agency. 
  

Each week is strategically broken down to help our interns make the most out of their time here. Monday – Wednesday is spent working with the department you are placed in along with a personalized mentor to show you the way. Thursdays are reserved for lunch and learns where we bring in senior leadership from each department. Friday is reserved for teams to work on the client project which is presented in pitch format to our c-level executives as well as the client.  
 
PROGRAM DETAILS:

END DATE: Friday, August 12, 2022 
SCHEDULE: Full-time (Monday-Friday, 9AM-5PM) 
PAY: Hourly

INTEGRATED PRODUCTION:  

 

Who we are: We’re digital, print, and integrated producers. 
 

What we do:  

  • Take core responsibility for each project’s success right from the beginning 

  • Build project plans, scopes, and budgets  

  • Guide projects through the development process by assigning resources, directing teams, and recommending solutions 
     

Our end goal: Produce the best possible tactics including websites, apps, interactive visual aids, emails, banners, games, print ads, brochures, sales aids, and experiential marketing.

Day-to-day responsibilities: 

 

  • Attending meetings and taking notes; writing and distributing meeting recaps 

  • Maintaining and distributing daily hot sheets 

  • Gathering screenshots and materials for client and medical/legal reviews 

  • Managing timelines and budgets and learning to manage small-scale projects independently 

  • Learning project management process within a digital advertising agency environment, standard documentation (statements of work, estimates, timelines, POs, budget tracking) 

  • Learning the processes for healthcare advertising and marketing 

  • Supporting the development of creative assets and production of digital advertising and marketing tactics, such as banner ads, emails, websites, mobile and tablet applications, presentation materials, interactive games, and convention materials 

  • Once a strong understanding of the process is established, will be assigned to manage small projects independently while continuing in a support role for larger projects 

  • Learning digital project process through mentoring and guidance from Senior Producers and by studying reference documents 

  • Assisting in developing and managing standard project documentation, such as daily hot sheets, status reports, statements of work, project plans (timing and cost estimates) with associated resources and timing, and change orders 

  • Assisting with weekly budget tracking and burn reports 

  • Taking screenshots of production sites and preparing materials for routing 

  • Learning the roles and responsibilities of all agency departments 

  • Learning to identify risks and research solutions for issues that could negatively affect projects 

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 
-Rising junior, senior, or recent graduate from an accredited college or university  
-Passion for advertising/marketing and/or healthcare  
-Available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week for the duration of the 9-week program 
-Possess solid communication, computer, and presentation skills 

-Super organized and not afraid to show it 

-Interest in Integrated Production
