BUSINESS TITLE: Studio Developer                                   DEPARTMENT: StudioRX

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY

The Studio Rx Developer is a multi-skilled position with at least 5 years working experience. They are an enthusiastic team member, learning about technology trends and capable of collaborating with agency team partners. They will work cohesively alongside both Studio Rx Senior Developers as well as Studio Rx Junior Developers in the efficient coding and accurate delivery of projects.

This position’s primary focus is front-end coding and styling, with the experience to take on more projects featuring custom code bases and frameworks. The Studio Rx Developer will be expected to provide support to all other development team members in coding, including updates to existing code and helping to debug issues from Quality Assurance. Developers will be expected to continually learn and demonstrate that growth within the team.

A developer should have an experienced eye for design, understanding best practices for web design and user experience.  There will be an expectation to edit designs in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

The developer should have experience working in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines, demonstrate they can multi-task, listens to others and accepts input from departmental leadership. They should possess strong written and verbal communication skills, while displaying a positive attitude and a track record of being thorough and precise.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

-          Translates creative designs to clean, bug-free code

-          Participates in project planning meetings

-          Executes front-end development for assigned deliverables.

-          Advances technology practice and Studio Rx offerings.

-          Follow directions on project routes with accuracy and clearly provide answers to queries.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

-          Must have an advanced grasp of HTML 5 and Web Standards, with an expertise in markup hierarchy

-          Must have strong skills in Javascript and Jquery, and ideally would have some experience with Gulp and/or Grunt

-          Engage with agency partners, advising upon technology needs, including explanations about digital standards and best practices

-          Must know SASS, css preprocessor and how to manipulate styles and layout in code. Also, experience with CSS animations and transitions is required.

-          Understand and apply standard software development methodologies

-          Explore and share new technologies with the larger team

EDUCATION

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

-          Demonstrates the ability to program in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (Jquery); Demonstrates proficiency with website development

-          Familiar with tablet devices (Android, iPad) and smartphones. Veeva.

-          Strong knowledge of common CMS platforms--Wordpress, Sitecore, AEM, etc

-          Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator); understands Responsive and mobile-first web design
